Rodrigo Herrera Vegas Industrial Engineer, he’s a huge fan of energy efficiency, recycling and a proper management of resources. He likes the ocean, where he windsurfs and kitesurfs. Together with Daniel, he founded Sustentator. He currently writes for one of Argentina’s main newspapers; La Nación, on the relationships between technology and sustainability. He also has a radio show since June 2009, where he addresses sustainability issues. |
| Geraldine Assmus She studied at the French school Jean Mermoz. She has a degree in Economics, and a masters in Finance. She worked for Citibank during 13 years. She does Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Iyengar Yoga. She’s a vegetarian, loves nature, and is certain that a change towards a sustainable future is possible. |
| Juan Gonzalez Calderon Architect and Urbanist. Master of Arts at the Architectural Association in London. Specialized in Sustainable Architecture Design and Construction. Founder of OnArquitectura and President of Sociedad de Arquitectura Sustentable in Argentina. Loves nature and travelling. He lived in London and Sao Paulo. Currently lives and works in Buenos Aires since 2005, married with 3 kids. |
| Verónica Alimonda – EDITOR Sustentator Editor and writer. Graduate of St. George’s College North, attended three years of the Bachelor of Journalism, Advertising and Institutional Communication at the Universidad Católica Argentina. In the year 2009, ended the career of specialization in Narrative Writing in Casa de Letras. Currently writes and edits Sustentator and records and edits its videos. She also writes every week for the Argentinian newspaper “Diario Popular”, where she discusses environmental topics. |
| Martín Cagliani He is a journalist who specializes in science. He studied Anthropology, History and Journalism at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He writes fiction stories. He’s been writing since he got his first PC over 15 years ago. Martín started publishing science articles online on his own, and little by little he managed to get other media where he now writes both on and offline. |
| Sandra Varela Sandra studied Spanish and is a French literary translator, specialized in French Literature. She cooperated with “Mensajeros de la Paz”, a Spanish non-profit organization in Buenos Aires. Sandra also worked as a news producer for an editorial and two magazines. Currently, she writes about renewable energy and ecological issues. Likes to photograph landscapes and portraits. Sandra loves nature and the mountains and to practice reiki. |
| Leandro Magri Leandro is a young professional in the Field of Chemical Engineering, and graduated in 2009 at the University of Buenos Aires. He has experience in water treatment plants and effluents as well as industrial process control. Interested in sustainable technologies and engineering. Loves shotokan karate, enjoys cooking and nature. |
| Matías Torino Matías Torino studied Social Communications, and is now finishing his degree. He has specialized in movies and photography, and has already done a couple of documentaries for Sustentator. Regarding his work experience, he has collaborated with magazines, the production and direction of documentaries, and has been an assistant in photography workshops. |
| Victoria Reynal She graduated in Social Communications, at the Universidad Austral, and did an exchange program in Sciences po, Paris, where she focused on politics. She is interested in development issues, matching the environmental and human welfare. She teaches yoga, windsurfs, and loves skiing. She is currently working on a school project to develop an organic food garden. |
| Marcos Tanaka – JAPAN Mechanical Engineer, graduated from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) in 2007. After working on a sustainable housing project in Costa Rica, Marcos discovered his passion: engineering for sustainable projects. In 2009, thanks to the Japanese Government, he was offered the opportunity to train in Tokyo on wind turbine engineering. For 2010, Marcos has received a scholarship to study a Master’s degree in renewable energies in Osaka. He’s eager to start on this new journey to continue specializing in renewable energies and researching on energy efficiency.. |
| Ignacio Marini He graduated in Economics at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He loves nature and all that has to do with it. He is particularly interested in how to green the economy without stopping development. He writes about how a sustainable world is achievable, and which strategies help. |
| Ashley Taylor – ENGLAND Ashley was raised in Argentina and then moved to England to complete his undergraduate and masters degrees at the London School of Economics (LSE). He has interned with Baring Asset Management in London and the Justice and Integrity Unit of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna. His interest in environmental issues stems from a life-long love of the outdoors. He is attracted to most sports but particularly enjoys rock climbing, mountaineering and skiing/snowboarding. |

Assistant at the Master Degree in Sustainable Architecture at Universidad de Palermo and head of an architectural firm dedicated to the project and construction management, with base in Buenos Aires and San Antonio de Areco. Sports fan, loves to run and is a marathon amateur. Loves to travel and is passionate about the history of architecture. |
